The Urban store is our core concept witha fast-paced environment that can handle a maximum level of guest conversion throughout the day. Here the guests are impressed by our signature design and music profile. The design of the store is industrial with dimmed light, smoked oak wood and burnt steel finishes – all signature components with attention to the heritage of JOE & THE JUICE.

The interior design is resistant to the constant flow of guests and intended to provide the optimal direction of energy from the bar to the customer area. Guests use these stores to get a dynamic experience in small doses and choose to sit here in shorter periods as a pit stop from other errands such as shopping. The menu is focused around the JOE & THE JUICE core with DNA products and simple Counter Products.

The Business concept is designed to accommodate the modern business man and woman. The design focuses on efficiency and minimalism regarding music and store-structure to correspond the professional working day in a business environment.

The store is mainly designed to handle short explosive bursts of guests during the midday lunch, but the store can also function as “todays’ office space” with music that sets the guest up for a focused work session.

The store is designed with neutral colours and light natural oak wood to imitate a clean and unblemished environment, creating a space where guests can recharge and rejuvenate while appreciating a break from their office. The brightness of the store implies a serious attitude amongst business people with tables designed for business meetings and as suitable work stationsfor longer periods of time.

The menu is still focused around the JOE & THE JUICE core with DNA products just like the Urban Shopping menu. However, Counter Products are more pronounced as a healthy meal to accommodate our business guestsin the explosive lunch rush, leaving them with meal options which does not involve waiting time

The Residential concept is designed to invite a feeling of the Store being a second home to our guests and inspiring the thought; “this is how I want to have it in my own home”. The interior design is soft, round and cosy with luxurious feel, fabrics & textures. The seating is arranged informally, inviting the guests to convene throughout the daywithout being disturbed. Altogether, the store radiates a much more mature feeling to our guests compared to the more rough feel of the Urban Shopping store.

The music is equally balanced to complement the relaxed and soothing ambience of the store. This store-design is intended to create a flowing and relaxed energy from the bar to the customer area allowing the guests to feel at home. This is in contrast to the professional and efficient feel of the CBD segment and the faced-paced energy of the UB segment.

The menu is developed with a wider array of café-like dishes such as omelettes, open-faced ryebread sandwiches and salads. In connection to the more varied menu, a bakery is also included to deliver freshly baked croissants and bread throughout the day. The wide-range of products available for guestswill allow them to utilize the store for longer periods of time.

Bar Types

In JOE & THE JUICE, we have multiple types of bars to choose from when building a store. The type of bar chosen is based on the location and corresponding area segmentation, the expected turnover, and the size of the store and business case.

All bar prices are excluding front glass screens and bar fronts.

All cabinets on stainless steel legs and including stainess steel base plate + leak trays.

Colors

Color Codes

In collaboration with the Tapet Cafe we have created the following color code structures for each area segmentation. The chosen color code will define which bar elements and the type of customer-area floor that should be used in the store design.

Restrooms/Toilet to be treated as separate room. We aim to get same painter break height, but only if it makes sense.

The wall color is divided in two; A top- and bottom color. The top color is defined to be darker and the bottom color to be lighter. The top color should also be applied to the ceiling.

The top color should be applied on the ceiling as well.

Top Color: Estate Emulsion finish.
Bottom Color: Washable Emulsion finish.

Riis estimate for a standard size store is approx. €2500 for all paint.

All bar elements are defined in accordance to the chosen colour theme. These are comprised of the bar front, the bar lamps, the wall tiles and the wall lamps.

All bar fronts that feature paint or woodwork will be painted with the finish Modern Eggshell (gloss40).

The bar floor is strictly designed conferring the hygienic regulations in the specific market.

The customer-area floor is designed in agreement with the chosen color theme. All wooden floors are from Dennebos composed of 12mm birch plywood, with 5mm oak top layer, equalling 17mm in total.

*Re-use existing floors, walls and ceilings to the extent possible and keep in mind that the building must be respected.

Lists

In all three concept we use the same floor list but do different list on the walls. In case of new door frames we use the profiled type in Residential concept. Further we can use a list to separate the two colours in the colour break in Residential Concept.

These panels are used to enhance the mature and attractive atmosphere that invites our guests to utilize the store either as their modern-day work space or their appealing second home.

Brand Signs

The presentation of our logo through store-signage is essential to create a visible and recognized concept. The JOE & THE JUICE logo is our face outwards and how our guests recognize our brand, therefore it is not allowed to deviate or change our logo design.

We build our concept with two types of signage true to our brand logo; JOE & THE JUICE Lettering and our original logo.

Lettering can be mounted on the on the store façade and logo signage can be installed either as a flag sign or displayed in store windows.

*Remember to always follow the applying rules of the specific building.

In JOE & THE JUICE, we use pictures to bring out personality and edge to the atmosphere of the store as well as creating variance in each section to avoid sterile repetitive interior designs. We only use picture that have been captured by ourselves and from of the traveling we have done around the world. The atmosphere of the pictures is international citizen, the love for trashy street art, luxury hotels, beautiful views and of course - our people.

We utilise the pictures to create two types of walls - Collage Walls & Statement Walls.

Collage Wall

The Collage Walls are a combination of small and medium sized pictures that combine into a unique wall of colours and feelings. This wall type fills the majority of a store.

*We're aiming to create a casual atmosphere by mixing various kinds of sizes and frames for the collage wall.

Statement Wall

The Statement Walls consist of onelarge picture representing our signature portrayal of JOE & THE JUICE. The purpose is to create a wauw-effect in the store. The picture must be of high quality with high resolution in order to live up to its purpose.

This wall type should be used sparingly (maximum only per store) and only when the wall size, ceiling height and placement is optimal to create the desired wauw-effect.

*We're aiming to visualise a statement. Therefore we use the basic alu frames for all of our statment pictures.

Sound

A large part of the JOE & THE JUICE culture is our love of music and sound quality. Our unique music profile is recognized by our guests all over the world and is a cornerstone of the JOE & THE JUICE concept. This is why we do not tolerate any compromises on sound and technical specification. Our stores must be designed with great care towards sound setup to ensure optimal quality.

We collaborate with Dynaudio; a Danish founded company and leading producer of hand-crafted high-end loudspeakers. Including Dynaudio into our concept design enable us to create the best and most authentic audio experience.

Every store must be built with meticulous attention to every detail from material finish to technical setup in order to ensure the sound performance.

01 Lounge

Lounge furniture is used to create a space where our guests want to convene and relax for longer periods of time. This group of furniture is conveniently placed in store corners away from the bar to create a cosy and intimate atmosphere without the noise from the blenders or other bar-machines. This creates a home-like setting relevant in all concept stores, but especially relevant within the Affluent Residential segment.

High seating is used to create an easily accessible seating set-up convenient for our guests to utilize while they wait for their order to be ready. For the same reason, this furniture group is preferably placed close to the bar area to direct waiting guests away from the till-area. This seating arrangement is especially relevant within the high-energy Urban Shopping segment, as well as the Central Business District to create a more efficient lunch rush.
